A 2 or 3 days trip riding around Villa de Leyva. One of the most beautiful towns in the country.
Villa de Leyva’s desert
We will pick up the group in Bogotá at 7:00 am. Depending on traffic we should be there around 10:00 am. We settle in a house close to the town, rest for a moment, Lunch and start riding around 2:00 pm. We take a ride through the desert. It is very possible to get back in the night so we will carry some lights. Light dinner brief walking in the town and sleep well for the next day.
Begins with a light, but fortifying breakfast at 6:30 AM. Then we will make a 34 km route visiting some places like Fossil museum and a vineyard where we will learn how they produce their wine and taste it.
Then we will have a snack in a place called the Elephant that is a big rock from where you can see a beautiful view of the valley where the town is located.
In the afternoon we will review the places we have been pedaling, eat a tasty bbq cooked in the house and have some free time to visit Villa de Leyva or it’s surroundings.
The last day we will begin with a route called La Periquera because it is in the way to a known waterfalls called like this. It is a 27 km route with an climb of 10 or 12 km before taking the waterfalls path. Then we return in a descent where we will pass El Pozo de la Vieja, a place for camping and resting besides a little river. We will have a late lunch, have some time to rest and organize, and then leave back to Bogota.

Every participant should bring:
– Bicycle in excellent conditions, helmet and basic emergency equipment (first aid kit and spare tire)
